Sheri Rimes is a lifelong animal lover, rescuer, owner and equestrian. She has been specializing in animal nutrition for nearly twelve years. Sheri began her career in animal nutrition after leaving the music industry in Los Angeles, California in 1995.
Alone and a single mother, she prayed about a way to provide for and still be available to her family.
God answered her prayers with the idea to start a business doing horse treats. "Heavenly Horse & Dog Treats was born in 2000.
In January of 2005, "Heavenly Horse & Dog Treats" was reborn as " The Organic Pet", and the vision grew to providing premium quality, special diet organic snacks for Horses, Dogs & Cats.
Sheri put together a team of respected professionals such as Holistic/Traditional Veterinarian, Dr. Neal Sivula, PhD. DVM, Dancing Dogs Animal Wellness Center, Richfield, OH; Dr. Richard Pitcairn PhD DVM, Dr. Randy Frennier PhD, Cornell Professor and of Nature's Farmacy, Equine Nutritionist, Dr. Lynn Taylor, Otterbein College and Biochemist, Dr. Andreas Papas PhD, author of "The Vitamin E Factor". Through their mentor-ship, Sheri developed several award winning special diet friendly organic snacks and we have a long list of Dogs that have received their Championships attributed to our bait!
Sheri is a published author and has authored many articles on the subject of nutrition and care for horses, dogs & cats. She is also a life long advocate to help save our Wild Mustangs from extinction.
