Dr. Neal Sivula
DVM, PhD, CVA, FAAVA, cAVCA, CVFT, CVCH
Dr. Sivula graduated from the Ohio State University in 1988 as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. He subsequently completed an intership and residency in large animal internal medicine at the University of Minnesota. Concurrently, he earned his PhD in veterinary medicine and epidemiology.
After eight years in large animal practice, an interest in integrative small animal care prompted Dr. Sivula to start Dancing Paws in 2001. Since its inception, the practice has grown to include four technical staff members. Dr. Sivula has received many advanced certifications, including:
Dr. Sivula is also a member of the Humane Society Veterinary Medical Association, which works toward raising awareness for animal rights and educating the public on welfare issues.
Dr. Sivula lives in Akron with his wife, and family of dogs and cats. In his free time, he enjoys gardening, cooking and walking his two greyhounds! Dr. Sivula is also an avid reader and bicycle enthusiast.

Our Special Guest this week is Ann Petersen of Montville, Ohio.
She has been involved in driving since an early age working with the draft pony breeds and draft horses owned by her family, Ann has had the opportunity to exhibit in pleasure driving, draft driving, combined driving, and recreational driving events.
Currently the family breeds, trains, and exhibits Welsh ponies and Welsh cobs at a variety of venues.
As a member of the Carriage Association of America, serving on the Pleasure Driving committee, and the American Driving Society, Ann has driven ponies at Acadia National Park in Maine and Mackinac Island, Michigan.
Ann has also completed Level one and the road driving portions of the Carriage Association of America's drivers proficiency program.

Pam’s Bio
The Hitch'n Post owner and operator Pam Williams built this facility in 1997. Pam has been a dog behaviorist and trainer for more then 35 years, her main goal in life is to help people become good pet owners and to be able to live in harmony with their dogs. She has always been concerned with the over crowding and revolving doors at the animal shelters, people return dogs mostly due to a lack of understanding of their pet. Pam believes that by educating the owner and teaching them how to be good pack leaders they will understand and enjoy their companions and both will enjoy a quality life together.

Pam is also involved in K-9 Search & Rescue and has trained search dogs for the past 6 years. Cowboy is her current search dog, he is certified for Air Scent, Cadaver, & Water Search. She is also Training a young Lab named Maggie that was adopted from the shelter; Maggie is turning out to be a fine search dog.
